submit
Geese accepts submissions on a variety of topics, all of which are featured on our forum page. Questions of political strategy, philosophy, as well as investigations into social developments relating to the American communist experience are all welcome. The central quality our editorial team is looking for in a piece of writing is an attempt to take the creative project of building communism on its own terms and to derive a meaningful conclusion or analysis from its usage; we reject any submissions which are overtly hagiographical, simple, dogmatic, or, the worst sin of all: uninteresting. The guidelines are as follows:
Long-form: 8,000-12,000 words, long essays, book chapters, etc.
Articles: 2,000-8,000 words, opinion pieces, monographs, news analysis, etc.
Poetry & Art: limited acceptance
Letters: 400+ words, brief comments or perspectives from readers or ‘notables.’
Book Reviews: 1,000-3,000 words. Longer analyses should be submitted as articles.
